A few days after the fabulous Savvy Workshop, I got invited to partake in an impromptu beach shoot. Two of my new workshop friends had a few more days in Florida, and the sunny weather provided the perfect opportunity to get outside and shoot.
Our beautiful model was Tara, a fellow workshop attendee whose family owns a photography studio in North Dakota. Behind the lens was me and also the lovely Brooke Ringdahl, who has a photography studio in Minnesota.
These wonderful ladies and I stayed in the same house together at the Savvy Workshop, and right off the bat I felt at ease and as if I had known them for much longer than a few days. I mean, I definitely shared more personal info with them then I do a lot of people I know! We just clicked – there’s no other way to put it.
Our shoot was very casual and fun. I followed Brooke’s lead as she directed Tara, and together we got some gorgeous shots right before sundown. There’s no comparable light to that of the golden hour…especially at the beach.
Of course I had to get a few behind the scenes shots of my other wonderful new friend!
Thank you ladies so much for inviting me to join in on the fun! I am so thankful we met and hope to see you again in the near future…hopefully at a Savvy reunion!
